Let's hope so. I hope the fact that he just potentiall lost $48,000, or at minimum $4,000 is a wakeup call. We'll see how Ep4 is. I think if another short Ep comes out the rapid rise in sub's will start falling away more but who knows. I love the game and the renders, and will admit Ep2 spoiled me a bit because it is longer than either of the ones pre/proceeding it. I didn't compare Ep3 to Ep1 but if Ep1 is longerish that may be a good size for release.

Time will tell of course, but yeah if I ws a dev and I lost 25% of my subs in a month I'd be busting my ass to get out a longer version for the next month, even if I had to work more than the 'normal' 8 hours a day on the game. Assuming he is only working on the game and not a regular job too, which IIRL he is only working on the game.

Even with the decrease in Patreons, at $8k hardware should not be an issue because that can buy multiple PC's, and/or beefy server type boxes with multiple video cards that you can run VE's on to render multiple shoots at once.

Hmm, how about if the apparitions have learned to be independantover time and have their own interests in mind even if they act like they don't. The fact that the spell kicks in when he's not meaning for it to may be a sign of the apparitions free-agency and ability to kick in when they want to, not necessarily when he means to. Maybe they feed off fear and the strong emotions like lust, etc.

I'm curious how the MC would react if he knew what his mom and sis really see when he uses the spell. I have a feling he'd not use it (or much less).

I'm getting a hellraiser vibe from what you've just said. If the apparitions are like toned down cenobites, then I'd say that there's no fucking way our MC would want to use the spell. That said, cenobites vary and have varying motivations, the apparitions all seem to be working towards a common goal.

I was thinking the same... I agree with Wep that he delivered good game, but counting the amount of support he gained in the meantime and looking at his milestones, I was actually expecting great animations in this version and nothing happened. But maybe I am little biased as he has blocked me...

Jande21 you will have to ask him... I posted message that I congratulate him that he reached his last milestone and that I am looking forward to seeing the animations... message was deleted and I was blocked. Perhaps he considered me as a competitor and he did not want his Patreons to click on me, but that is just my assumption.

A lot of you guys are being way too dramatic, it wasn't a bad patch at all, yeah it was shorter than the previous ones but that ain't no reason to start bashing the guy. Also T4bbo optics man, right now it just looks like you are trying to score cheap points and that ain't cool. Even if that is not your intention, it looks bad as another developer. Dreams of Desire is still one of the best games out there with some of the best renders of any eroge game period. The writing is solid and he knows how to make likable characters and not on accident like icstor. Give the guy a break before trying to pile on with more concern trolling.

Aren't you the guy that put 0.02 (early release) under a 40$ barrier? and DRMed it, despite having five minutes worth of content? True, patreon is for support and people will always have choice in the matter, but given how I've seen these things play out, over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. I really don't think you have a leg to stand on in your so called 'concern.' We've seen your ilk one too many times.

1st. Without "charge up front" there was no barrier for anyone... maybe just for you.
2nd. DRM increased re-uploads on pirated site and hate discussions on SEO statistics, I didn't do it protect people from playing game, but to increase exposure.

Actually no, as I said he blocked me, so I have to use another account which now I use to support other creators not being removed - Mr Dots for example who inspired me to make my own game. Why you think this idea is twisted? I got regular job where I earn money without help of supporters. I also want as I think everyone here to play as much quality games as I can.
